Gettin' Dunked into the kingdom.....

Well, something like that.....dunked, immersed, baptized.....no matter how it looks, we were stoked to see kids giving it up for the kingdom. We only had 3 kids lined out for the baptism, but weren't limiting to that. Check it out for yourself. don't forget, next Sunday we'll be diggin' into some stuff out of Hebrews the 1st chapter verses 1-2. Seems simple right, just wait. God 's got a lot in store. I'll try to keep this piece updated on the regular, but sometimes my boss man keeps me from postin blogs....wink wink. Stay True, man, if God's speaking to you, let's get somethin' done around here. Much Love, jeremy

Big Event this Saturday!!!!

Hello all! Sorry about the long delay in updating, but God is moving so mightily, I'm having a hard time keepin' up. Please remember we are doing a baptism on Nov. 18th. We have a handful of guys that are ready to make this step in their faith and we're stoked. It's going to be cool. Pastor Neil Spencer from Calvary Chapel will be sharing with us that night.
This Saturday Nov. 10 we have Walking on Water with us, downtown in Seville Square. It's almost like a full on festival, we've got music, skate demo, BMxErs and lots more. Everything kicks off at 4:00 and make sure your there early to catch the demos.....it gets dark early. Sparrow will have a little booth/tent set up next to the skate ramps. We will be selling our first line of shirts for $15. Please come out, buy a shirt if you can, to help support the cause. Much Love.

Pro - pitchy - what???

That's right! Propitiation! God is good, and that's what we learned all about on Sunday at Sparrow. The wbz mini ramp jam was off the heezy and we gotta shout to all you guys who were reppin' it out. It was sick to watch. We had a complete Next week we'll be jammin' on the........ well, I'm still workin' on that! Hope to catch you cats there. Here is the synop on the goods from sunday's message:

PROPITIATION

Romans 3:23-25

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

· 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

o Everyone sins, and falls short of God’ Glory. You may think your doing well compared to your friends, or enemies, but you’re not comparing yourself to the right person. The comparison isn’t between you and another man, but between you and God.

o When God comes on the scene, He sets the standard. His Light, we all fall short of.

· 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

o Justification is by Grace exclusively. Grace is unmerited, unearned, undeserved favor. The super cool thing, is that justification happens continually, so even this very moment, I am being justified and declared righteous. Many times in our sin, we feel as if we have forfeited the access and the freedom we once had with God, but that is not true. Justification is a continual action, a continual declaration of righteousness. Boo yaa!

· 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

Justification comes at an incalculable cost!! Christ left heaven, came to dwell with us on earth, and die for us. Maybe that’s far fetched to you, that Christ could pay the price for our sins when he only hung on a cross for a several hours……but contrare moufrare, the bible says that He was slain before the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8). Therefore, to a very mysterious degree, His punishment for our individual sins, as well as the world as a whole, was, and is, eternal!!!
......put that in your pocket and keep it, son!

Al B Kerkeee

Jason especially likes the flower power in albequerque

Hello All! Gallagher and myself went on a little trip to New Mexico to the 1st annual "skate ministry conference" which was hosted by http://www.christianskaters.com/ . Richard Mulder was there as well as Christian Hosoi, Anthony Carney, Sean Mandoli. It was sick. and to top it off, Spoken played at the skatepark. http://www.spokenmusic.com/ We also have the rockin' our myspace page. It was sick. Like 100 people responded to the gospel prentation by Hosoi. It was sick. Most of these photos were either taken with my phone, or a point n shoot my motherinlaw let me borrow, but at least we got some footage.
The ditches were sick, and they were everywhere. Like 100 ft. banks, and all the curbs in the whole city were painted with some really thick red paint (good for all slap-iteers)

Week 3

Hello All! I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who have been coming out. The turnout has been insane, and I'm stoked on what God has in store for Pensacola. November 10 is going to be sick. We've got a big deal going on downtown Pensacola w/ a possibility that either Brian Sumner or Ray Barbee will be there. God willing, whoever comes to this event will also Rock with us at Skate church the following night.
We have had some mad coverage lately, (http://www.pensacolanewsjournal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007710070302)and thankfully, it's mostly representing the church as it is. Last week we talked about how Jesus just called us: "Come unto me....". We were gettin' a little insight on

Matthew 11:25-30
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. 26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. 27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Don't forget.....The creator of the universe just wants us to come to Him!

Feel free to post any comments about the scripture, and we can do a little dilly discussion platform. I've gotta get this site out and in the loop, so let all your homeys in on the know.

have a good one, and don't forget about this Sunday!
